Building requirements state that no Property wall must be less than 5 metres away from the boundary, if it is then any combustible component such as timber cladding needs to have surface spread of flame treatment to stop the fire from spreading

To fireproof 50 m2 external cedar cladding/boundary wall to achieve Class 0 surface spread of flame to BS 476 part 6: 1987 & EU/EN.SB1 A1-B/S1/DO EN13501 Parts EN13823 2002 & EN119252 2002 Ignitability

  • Clean any dust or grime etc off cladding – if necessary
  • Spray apply 3 coats x HR Prof clear fire-retardant coating at 7.5 m2 per litre – per coat (total = 2.5m2)
