Nullifire SC802-60 white intumescent coating system for steel sections
Nullifire has launched SC802; a new water-based intumescent basecoat, targeted at the 60-minute sector for on-site fire protection.
The new formulation provides an impressive 15% improvement on product loadings over its successful predecessor, S707-60, which has been the market leader for over a decade
SC802 also covers a wide range of steel section types, so many jobs can be done using just one product. A further benefit shown during testing with leading contractors was that the product was also easy to spray and gave an excellent smooth, matt finish.
SC802 is compatible with the full selection of Nullifire primers and top seals; so, it is easy to specify for those familiar with the companys range of products. Additionally, the specifier can rest assured that this product is well within the latest environmental standards, being water-based and low odour – VOCs are just 21 g/l.
Test data and certification for SC802 is available for beams and columns, in accordance with BS476 Part 21: 1987. SC802 has been certified by the independent Certifire on I-sections and approved for 30-60 minutes performance. The spray applied, reactive, intumescent coating is also in accordance with the ASFP Yellow Book Fire Resistance Classification – Revision 5.
